Shivamogga: A shocking road accident unfolded at Balebail in Thirthahalli taluk of Shivamogga district after a moving car suffered a sudden tyre explosion and rammed into an electric pole on the roadside.
According to preliminary information, the vehicle was travelling from Udupi towards Thirthahalli when the tyre reportedly burst, causing the driver to lose control. Within seconds, the car veered off the road and crashed into a nearby electric pole with significant impact.
Car Front Completely Damaged
The force of the collision left the front portion of the car completely mangled. Eyewitnesses described the impact as severe, with debris scattered around the accident site.
Despite the intensity of the crash, all passengers inside the vehicle escaped without injuries, in what many are calling a narrow and fortunate escape.
“The tyre burst led to loss of control, resulting in the vehicle hitting the electric pole. Thankfully, there were no casualties,” police sources said.
Police Investigation Underway
Officials from the Thirthahalli Police Station rushed to the scene soon after receiving information. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact sequence of events and assess any additional safety concerns.
The incident has once again highlighted the dangers of high-speed travel and the risks associated with tyre failures on highways.
