X user claims Amazon marked grocery order as delivered despite products not arriving, sparking customer support concerns online
NewsFlash Desk: A social media post alleging failed delivery and poor customer support from Amazon India has gone viral on X, with a user claiming that her order was marked as “Delivered” despite the products never reaching her doorstep.
The user, identified as Sonali through her X account @Imsonali0, alleged that she ordered three Santoor Royal Sandal soaps and Surf Excel detergent through Amazon Now at around 9:38 AM. According to her post, the platform displayed an estimated delivery time of 9:47 AM, following which she completed a payment of ₹241.
However, the user claimed that although the application later marked the order as successfully delivered, the products had still not arrived even by the following day.
Amazon Prime Delivery Complaint Triggers Online Debate
In her viral post, the user questioned whether customers were “being fooled in the name of fast delivery” and expressed frustration over the alleged handling of her complaint by customer support services.
“Bought Amazon Prime for fast and trusted service… but what did I actually get? ₹241 deducted, order marked as delivered, products still not received,” the user wrote on X.
She further claimed that after raising a complaint with customer support, she allegedly received multiple calls where executives repeatedly informed her that the call was being transferred, but no final resolution was provided.
The user also alleged that the delivery partner’s mobile number remained switched off while the payment had already been deducted from her account.
The incident gained further traction after several users responded to the post with similar experiences regarding delayed deliveries and refund-related complaints.
X Users Share Similar Amazon Order Delivery Experiences
Another X user, identified as Aditya Shandilya (@Adityashandily0), commented under the post claiming he had faced a similar issue in the past.
“Same thing happened to me once but my money was not refunded by Amazon Prime after which I stopped ordering,” the user commented.
The viral complaint has reignited discussions on social media regarding e-commerce delivery accountability, customer support efficiency, and order verification systems, especially for premium subscription users.
As of now, neither Amazon India nor its official support handles have publicly issued a statement regarding the claims made in the viral social media posts. The allegations currently remain based on user claims shared online.
