Threatening Emails Claiming ‘Delhi Will Become Khalistan’ Target Schools and Parliament; Cyber Teams Probe Origin

New Delhi: At least five schools in the national capital received bomb threat emails on Friday morning containing provocative references to “Khalistan,” prompting large-scale security checks before authorities declared the threats a hoax.

According to officials, the emails claimed that “Delhi will become Khalistan” and warned of bomb blasts in schools at 1.11 pm and inside Parliament at 2.11 pm. The alarming content led to the immediate evacuation of students and coordinated security responses by multiple agencies.

Five Schools Receive Threat Emails

The Delhi Fire Services confirmed that the following institutions received the threatening email:

  • Delhi Tamil Education Association

  • Kendriya Vidyalaya

  • Happy Public School

  • Rabea Public School

  • CL Bhalla DAV School

Officials said the first call alerting authorities was received before 9.12 am, followed by subsequent calls at 9.59 am, 11.07 am, 11.08 am and 1.39 pm.

In a message to parents, one of the affected schools stated that students were safely evacuated as a precautionary measure and police teams were conducting security checks on the premises.

“We carried out thorough search operations and found nothing suspicious. The threat has been declared a hoax,” the Delhi Fire Services said.

Security Alert Extended to Parliament

The email also claimed that a blast would occur inside Parliament, triggering heightened security arrangements across sensitive locations in the capital. Senior police officers said security protocols were immediately activated and standard operating procedures were followed.

Cyber teams have been deployed to trace the origin of the threatening emails. Officials said investigations are underway to identify those responsible.

Similar Incident Earlier This Week

This is the second such incident in recent days. On Monday, more than a dozen schools in Delhi had received similar bomb threat emails, which were later confirmed to be hoaxes after detailed searches yielded no suspicious findings.

On the Other hand, security experts have echoed the need for stricter cyber surveillance and faster tracing mechanisms to prevent panic caused by repeated hoax threats targeting educational institutions.
