The FSL report in the Renukaswamy murder case witness threat investigation has led Bengaluru police to examine an alleged network involving Puneeth, Kiran and Gaurav Shetty, while another technical report is awaited.

Bengaluru: The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report in the case involving threats to a key witness in the Renukaswamy murder case has led Kamakshipalya police to examine the alleged involvement of additional people in the incident.

The investigation was intensified after Sandeep, identified as the 49th witness in the case, received threats. Police had earlier arrested Puneeth, Suhas and Venu in connection with the alleged incident.

According to the FSL report, the investigation has indicated the involvement of a wider network in the alleged threat to the witness. Police are now examining the role of Gaurav Shetty and Kiran in the incident.

Police had earlier arrested Puneeth, Suhas and Venu. The three were described in the case as being close to Darshan’s family and were linked to the witness threat investigation.

The latest findings from the FSL report have led investigators to examine communication between people allegedly involved in the incident.

According to the investigation, Puneeth received a call from an influential woman before the alleged act. The woman allegedly instructed him to follow directions given by Gaurav Shetty.

Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the call and the instructions allegedly given to Puneeth.

WhatsApp Call Examined by Kamakshipalya Police

Investigators have also examined a WhatsApp conference call involving Puneeth, Kiran and Gaurav Shetty.

According to the information in the investigation, the three were connected through the WhatsApp conference call when Sakshi Sandeep was allegedly kidnapped and threatened.

The investigation indicates that Gaurav Shetty and Kiran were present on the call and allegedly guided the actions during the incident.

The findings have prompted Kamakshipalya police to consider further legal action against Gaurav Shetty and Kiran as part of the investigation.

Technical Report Awaited in Witness Threat Case

Kamakshipalya police are awaiting another technical report before proceeding further in the investigation.

The additional report is expected to provide further information concerning the communications and alleged involvement of people connected to the incident.

Police are also examining the identity and role of the influential woman who allegedly contacted Puneeth before the incident. The investigation has not yet publicly established her identity based on the information available.

The police are expected to take further legal action against Gaurav Shetty and Kiran based on the findings of the investigation and the pending technical report.

The FSL findings have therefore expanded the scope of the inquiry beyond the three people who were initially arrested in connection with the alleged threat to the witness.
