Passengers alarmed as two youths allegedly consume drugs during night journey, demand strict action from the railway police
Hubballi: A disturbing incident aboard the Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express has sparked outrage after two youths were seen allegedly smoking ganja openly during a night journey, causing discomfort and concern among fellow passengers.
The train, which runs between Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station and Yesvantpur Junction railway station, became the scene of the incident when the youths reportedly mixed ganja with cigarettes and smoked it openly inside the coach.
Passengers were left uneasy as the individuals showed no fear or hesitation while engaging in the act in a public setting.
Passengers Record Viral Video
Concerned travellers captured the entire episode on their mobile phones. The video has since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread criticism and raising questions about passenger safety and law enforcement on trains.
Growing Safety Concerns
The incident has triggered serious concerns about security and monitoring in long-distance trains, especially during night journeys when vigilance tends to be lower.
“Such reckless behaviour puts other passengers at risk and must be dealt with strictly,” said a co-passenger.
Demand for Strict Action
Passengers have urged railway authorities and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to identify the accused and take stringent action against them.
