Obsessive lover’s public apology turns alarming as threats to guards raise serious safety concerns for students
Dhanbad: A bizarre yet alarming incident unfolded at a women’s college in Dhanbad after walls were plastered with “Forgive Me Dimpy” posters, triggering panic among students and staff and raising serious concerns over campus security.
The incident took place outside BSS Women’s College, where large white posters suddenly appeared across the main entrance walls. The posters carried emotional messages such as, “Forgive me, Dimpy, I made a mistake. I promise it won’t happen again. You are very important to me,” grabbing widespread attention.
Situation Turns Tense with Threats
When the college’s security staff and peons attempted to remove the posters, a youth believed to be the person behind them confronted them. He allegedly warned the guards not to touch the posters, threatening consequences and creating a tense atmosphere on campus.
“If you remove these posters, it won’t end well,” the youth reportedly warned, shocking the staff.
Accused Flees as Principal Arrives
Hearing the commotion, Principal Karuna Singh rushed to the spot. However, the accused fled the scene on a bike before he could be apprehended.
Staff members later removed all the posters to restore normalcy.
Principal Raises Serious Safety Concerns
The college administration has treated the incident as a serious security breach. The principal emphasised that the matter goes beyond a love affair and directly impacts student safety.
“Today it is posters. Tomorrow, such a person may enter the campus and create a dangerous situation. This is a threat to our students,” she warned.
Police Launch Investigation
A formal complaint has been filed with local police and the District Commissioner. Authorities are now scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the youth and the girl referred to as “Dimpy.”
The investigation is underway to determine the intent and prevent any further threats.
