Heartbreaking story emerges as a child celebrating a birthday dies in a rain-triggered wall collapse, exposing civic negligence and safety lapses
Bengaluru: A deeply tragic and emotional story has emerged from the deadly wall collapse near Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital, where a 6-year-old girl celebrating her birthday lost her life along with six others during heavy rains in Bengaluru.
The young victim, Musavir Begum, had gone out with her family to buy clothes for her birthday when the incident occurred, turning what should have been a day of joy into an unimaginable tragedy.
Moments later, the compound wall collapsed, trapping several people under debris, including the child who was excitedly preparing for her birthday.
Despite desperate attempts by her family and rescuers, Musavir could not be saved, leaving her loved ones devastated.
Her sudden death has left the family shattered, while another relative present at the scene sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
“She had come to buy clothes for her birthday… and never returned home,” a grieving family member said.
