One-and-a-half-year-old girl critically injured after fall in Nayandahalli, now stable in ICU as shocking CCTV visuals emerge
Bengaluru: In a shocking yet miraculous incident in Bengaluru’s Nayandahalli, a one-and-a-half-year-old girl survived a dangerous fall from the first floor while playing, leaving onlookers stunned. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, highlighting the terrifying moments leading to the fall.
The incident occurred on April 6 but came to light later after CCTV footage surfaced. The toddler, identified as Sahana, accidentally fell from the first floor after climbing onto a chair, losing balance, and slipping over the edge.
Critical Injury but Miracle Survival
Despite the severity of the fall, the child survived, which many are calling nothing short of a miracle. She sustained injuries mainly to her head and was immediately rushed to a private hospital.
“She has only suffered a head injury. Apart from that, there are no major complications,” said her father, Naveen.
Undergoing Treatment in ICU
Sahana is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU at Rangadore Memorial Hospital in Basavanagudi. Doctors have confirmed that she is out of danger. She received three stitches on her head and is showing signs of steady recovery.
Mother Stepped Away Briefly
At the time of the incident, Sahana’s mother, Jayashree, had briefly stepped away to check on boiling milk. In those few moments, the child climbed onto a chair and fell. Passersby who witnessed the fall immediately raised an alarm.
Family in Shock, Mother Collapses
Hearing the commotion, Jayashree rushed out and was left in shock after seeing her injured daughter. She reportedly suffered low blood pressure and collapsed but has since recovered.
Only Child of the Family
Sahana is the only child of the couple. Her father, Naveen, works as an auto driver. The family is now hoping for her complete recovery as doctors continue to monitor her condition closely.
