21-Year-Old Shital Chitte Writes Maharashtra Board Political Science Paper Days After Delivery; Exam Centre Extends Special Support
Nanded (Maharashtra): A 21-year-old woman from Nanded appeared for her Class 12 Maharashtra State Board examination while carrying her 10-day-old baby, prompting authorities to arrange a special mother-friendly facility at the examination centre.
Shital Chandrakant Chitte reached the exam centre on Wednesday to write her Political Science paper, accompanied by her newborn. Officials confirmed that necessary arrangements were made to ensure she could take the examination without inconvenience.
Appeared for Exam Just Days After Delivery
According to officials, Chitte had earlier appeared for her English paper on February 10, merely two days after delivering the baby. On that occasion, she was accompanied by her sister for support.
A separate seating arrangement and space for childcare were reportedly arranged to ensure the infant’s safety and comfort during the exam hours.
Authorities Facilitate Special Arrangements
Examination officials said they ensured that the young mother faced no disruption while writing her paper. The initiative reflected a supportive approach towards students facing exceptional circumstances.
“We made the necessary arrangements so that she could appear for the examination comfortably. Education should not stop due to personal hardships,” an official associated with the exam centre said.
The Maharashtra State Board examinations are currently underway across the state, with thousands of students appearing for Class 12 papers.
Chitte’s effort has been widely appreciated by locals, who described her commitment as inspiring for other young learners facing obstacles.
