15 Minutes Late, Gates Closed: Masaurhi Teen’s Death Sparks Shock and Questions Over Exam Protocols

Patna: A Class 10 girl allegedly died by suicide after being denied entry to her examination centre in Masaurhi in Patna.

The incident occurred near Maharajchak village under the jurisdiction of Masaurhi police.

Komal Kumari had travelled to her relatives’ village in Maharajchak on Tuesday. Her examination centre was about six kilometres away. Though the reporting time was 9 am, she arrived at approximately 9:15 am, by which time the gates had been closed.

According to family members, she pleaded with the staff, saying the examination would begin at 9:30 am and that she was only a few minutes late. Despite repeated appeals, she was not allowed to enter the centre.
