Bright Flash, Thick Smoke and Violent Electric Arc Captured on Camera as Man Touches Overhead Wire in Bilawaser

Jaipur: A shocking incident from Rajasthan has gone viral after a man sustained severe burn injuries upon coming into contact with an 11,000-volt high-tension (HT) power line while sitting atop a moving truck in Bilawaser. The disturbing visuals, widely circulated on social media, capture the exact moment of impact.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred in Bilawaser, a semi-urban locality, when the man was seated on the roof of the truck’s cargo area as it moved along a road lined with overhead electrical wires. As the vehicle advanced, he accidentally touched an overhead high-tension line carrying 11,000 volts of electricity.

Horrifying Visuals Capture Moment of Electrocution

The viral footage shows the truck proceeding normally before a sudden bright flash of light erupts the instant the man’s upper body makes contact with the wire. Within seconds, thick white and grey smoke engulfs the area due to intense electrical arcing.

The man’s body appears to jerk violently and stiffen — a reaction commonly associated with high-voltage electrocution. His clothes can be seen charring and catching fire as smoke continues to billow from the point of contact.

Moments later, he collapses on the truck’s roof, visibly burnt and motionless, as bystanders react in panic.

Rushed to Hospital; Condition Not Disclosed

Local residents immediately alerted authorities and helped shift the injured man to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Officials have not yet released an official medical bulletin regarding his current condition.

Medical experts state that exposure to 11,000 volts can result in deep tissue burns, severe nerve damage, cardiac arrest and life-threatening muscle spasms due to the powerful electrical surge passing through the body.

Authorities are expected to examine whether safety norms were violated and if proper clearances were maintained between overhead lines and vehicular routes.
