KPTCL Announces Scheduled Interruption Across Manyata Tech Park, RBI, BMTC and Mahalakshmi Layout Areas

Emergency maintenance by KPTCL at 66/11 kV substations to disrupt electricity supply in key Bengaluru localities from 10 AM to 5 PM on Friday

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited, KPTCL, has announced a scheduled power outage in several parts of Bengaluru on Friday, February 13, 2026, due to emergency maintenance work at multiple 66/11 kV substations. The interruption will affect residential layouts, commercial hubs, IT parks and industrial areas across the city for several hours.


According to the official notification, emergency maintenance at the 66/11 kV Manyata Tech Park MUSS will result in power supply interruption from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM in the following areas: Fidelity, Philips, Incubator, IBM D1, D2, D3 and D4 Blocks, F2 Block, L5 Nokia Block, L6 Siemens Block, G1 Block, ANZ H Block, C4 Block, Manyata Residency, B.T.S. Layout, Godrej Apartments, Hebbal Kempapura, Vinayaka Layout, Chiranjeevi Layout, Venkategowda Layout, JNC, MFAR, Madhuvana M2 Block, Rachenahalli, Srirampura, Chamundeshwari Layout, Royal Enclave, Mestri Palya, Thanisandra, SNN Clermont Apartments, Karle Town Centre, B. Narayanapura Cross, BDS Layout, Mantri Lithos, Coffee Board Layout, Fathima Layout, Amarjyothi Layout, Mariyannapalya, Umiya Velocity and Brigade Caladium.


Power Interruption at RBI and BMTC Substations

KPTCL further stated that maintenance work at the 66/11 kV RBI and BMTC substations will lead to power cuts from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on the same day. The affected areas include RBI Layout, Kottanur, J.P. Nagar 5th Phase, Shreyas Colony, Gaurav Nagara, Nataraja Layout, Nrupathunga Nagar, Jambusavari Dinne, Chunchughatta, Brigade Millennium and Brigade Gardenia Apartments, Richmond Town, Richmond Circle, Johnson Market, Norris Road, Arab Line, Wellington Street, Curie Street, Leonard Street, Renius Street, Wilson Garden, Hombegowda Nagara, Sampangi Nagara, J.C. Road, Shanti Nagar, BTS Road, Residency Road, Sudhamanagara, K.H. Road, Double Road, Subbaiah Circle, Siddayya Road and Lalbagh Road.


Mahalakshmi Layout Substation Under Maintenance

In addition, the 66/11 kV Mahalakshmi Layout substation under the Peenya Division will witness power interruption from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM. Areas likely to be impacted include Manjunath Nagar, Thimmiah Road, Bhovi Colony, Mahaganapati Nagar, Pushpanjali Apartment, Shivanahalli Park, Adarsha Nagar, Adarsha Layout, Unix Colony, Indira Nagar, 3rd Stage 1st Block, B-Nagar, Lakshmi Nagar, H.V.K. Layout, Kirloskar Colony, Karnataka Layout, Kamala Nagar, V.J.S.S. Layout, Ward Office surroundings, Nagapura, Mahalakshmi Puram, Modi Hospital Road, Punjab National Bank area, Hamsaleka Home surroundings, Shankarmata, Pipeline Road, J.C. Nagar, Kurabaralli, Rajaji Nagar 2nd Block, E.S.I. Hospital, Kamala Nagar Main Road, Gruhalakshmi Layout 2nd Stage, Bovi Palya, Gelayara Balaga, Mico Layout, G.D. Naidu Hall, West of Chord Road, ESCON near SIT Road, B.N.E.S. College, BEL Apartment, Sandal Soap Factory, Yeshwanthpura Industrial Area, Toyota Showroom, Esteem Classic Apartment and Lumos Apartment.

KPTCL stated that the interruption is necessary to carry out emergency maintenance and strengthen power infrastructure to ensure a stable electricity supply in the long run.

Residents and commercial establishments in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements in advance. IT companies operating in Manyata Tech Park and surrounding business hubs are expected to rely on backup power systems during the scheduled outage.


On the Other hand, civic groups have urged authorities to ensure strict adherence to the announced schedule and minimise inconvenience to households, hospitals, and small businesses that depend heavily on an uninterrupted power supply.
