Second Incident in Dehradun in a Day Raises Concern; Post-Mortem Ordered to Ascertain Cause of Death
Dehradun: The body of an unidentified man was recovered from a drain in the Chandrabani area of Dehradun on Friday, police said. The discovery comes on the same day news emerged of a separate shooting incident in the city, heightening public concern.
According to officials, the body was found near the Chandrabani cremation ground in the Patel Nagar area. After receiving information about a corpse lying in the drain, a police team rushed to the spot and retrieved the body.
No Immediate Signs of Injury
Police said no visible injury marks were found on the body during the preliminary inspection. No identification documents were recovered from the deceased, and local inquiries have so far failed to establish his identity.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Authorities said all possible angles are being investigated.

The incident has caused a sensation in the city, especially as it follows reports earlier in the day of a young man allegedly being shot dead while leaving a gym in another part of Dehradun.
