Domestic dispute turns deadly in Narmada district as woman fatally attacks husband with a stone, remains beside body until morning
Narmada: In a shocking and deeply disturbing incident from Gujarat’s Narmada district, a woman allegedly killed her husband in a moment of rage during a domestic dispute and then spent the entire night sitting beside his lifeless body.
According to reports, the couple was walking together when a verbal argument broke out. What began as a minor disagreement soon escalated into a heated confrontation. During the altercation, the husband allegedly slapped his wife, triggering a violent reaction.
Fatal Attack with a Stone
In a fit of anger, the woman reportedly picked up a large stone lying by the roadside and struck her husband on the head. The blow caused severe injuries, and the man collapsed on the spot, dying in a pool of blood.
“The act appears to have been committed in a sudden burst of anger,” officials said.
Night Spent Beside the Body
In a chilling turn, instead of fleeing the scene, the woman remained there throughout the night, sitting silently beside her husband’s body. Her behaviour has left both locals and investigators stunned.
Arrested the Next Morning
The following morning, locals noticed the situation and alerted authorities. Police arrived at the scene and took the woman into custody. A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Investigation Underway
Authorities are now probing the exact cause of the dispute and whether the act was entirely impulsive or had deeper underlying issues. The body has been sent for postmortem examination.
