Bengaluru: In a deeply disturbing incident, an 18-year-old PUC student was found dead under mysterious circumstances on the very day her exam results were announced, triggering suspicion and outrage among family members in Bengaluru.
The deceased, identified as Tanushree, was found hanging at her residence in Manorayanapalya area of Hebbal. At first glance, the case appeared to be a suicide allegedly linked to failing the 2nd PUC examination.
Mother Claims Suicide, But Doubts Emerge
The student’s mother, Asha, informed police that her daughter took the extreme step after failing in exams. The body has been shifted to Ambedkar Medical College Hospital in K.G. Halli for further procedures.
However, several inconsistencies in the sequence of events have raised suspicion among relatives, who are now demanding a thorough investigation.
8-Hour Delay Raises Questions
According to reports, the incident occurred around 3 PM on April 9, but police were informed only around 10 PM, nearly eight hours later. This unusual delay has become a major point of concern.
Relatives have also alleged that the mother, without informing authorities, brought down the body with the help of 4–5 youths, further intensifying doubts.
“Why was the information hidden for hours? What really happened inside the house?” questioned a family member.
Brother Rejects Suicide Theory
Tanushree’s relative, Dhanush, strongly rejected the suicide claim, stating that she was mentally strong and unlikely to take such a step.
“She was not the kind of girl who would end her life. We cannot believe this is suicide,” he said.
He also raised serious allegations against the mother, claiming ongoing family disputes and alleged personal issues could be linked to the incident.
Allegations Add New Twist
The relative further alleged that past conflicts in the family, including issues related to the mother’s personal life, may have led to tensions at home. He even suggested the possibility of foul play and demanded a detailed probe into the mother’s role.
Police Investigation Underway
A case has been registered at Hebbal Police Station, and authorities have launched an investigation to uncover the truth behind the mysterious death.
