Technical error on Karresults.nic.in shows inflated scores, while DigiLocker records remain accurate
Bengaluru: The announcement of the Karnataka 2nd PUC results has been marred by a major technical glitch, after several students reported marks exceeding the maximum limit of 600 on the official results website.
In a shocking error, some students were reportedly awarded up to 683 marks, raising serious concerns over data accuracy and reliability of the system.
More Than 100 Marks in Each Subject
The issue primarily affected students who had reappeared for the examination this year after failing previously. According to reports, some of these students were shown as scoring more than 100 marks in each of the six subjects, which is beyond the permissible limit.
The error appearing on the official portal has left students and parents confused and anxious.
Error Limited to Official Website
The discrepancy was found only on the Karresults.nic.in website. However, the official digital marksheets available on DigiLocker show correct scores, confirming that the issue is likely a technical error during data upload.
This has provided some relief to students, though concerns remain about the credibility of the online display system.
Students Demand Clarification
The glitch has sparked widespread concern, with many students and parents questioning how such a significant error occurred on an official government platform.
Experts suggest that the problem may be linked to a data processing or backend upload issue, but an official clarification from authorities is awaited.
Need for Stronger Digital Systems
The incident highlights the importance of robust digital infrastructure and verification mechanisms, especially for high-stakes examinations impacting lakhs of students.
