Father of 21-year-old Lakshya Mishra raises explosive questions over alleged fall from 9th floor in Yelahanka, demands detailed probe.
Bengaluru: A shocking case has emerged from Yelahanka in Bengaluru, where the death of a 21-year-old engineering student inside a private college hostel has triggered serious doubts and allegations. The student, identified as Lakshya Mishra, a native of Ranchi, Jharkhand, reportedly died after falling from the 9th floor of the hostel building in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred around 3 AM, when Lakshya allegedly jumped from the 9th floor. The case falls under the jurisdiction of the Yelahanka New Town Police Station. However, what initially appeared to be a case of suicide has now taken a dramatic turn, with the victim’s family alleging foul play.
Father Makes Explosive Allegations
Lakshya’s father, Anjani Kumar, has strongly questioned the circumstances surrounding his son’s death. In a video statement and formal complaint to the police, he raised multiple inconsistencies, suggesting that the incident could be a case of murder or something more sinister.
Key Questions Raised by Family
- The grieving father has highlighted several suspicious aspects:
- Despite falling from the 9th floor, the body was not severely shattered
- The window space appeared insufficient for a jump
- Only minimal blood stains were found at the spot where the body was discovered
- These points, he argues, do not align with a typical high-rise fall, intensifying suspicions.
Suspicious Movements Before Death
Adding to the mystery, reports indicate that Lakshya was seen moving in the hostel corridor around 11:16 PM, while a group of four to five students entered another room nearby. Later, around 2 AM, he reportedly exited and re-entered his room. These unusual movements have further deepened the mystery, raising questions about what transpired in the hours leading to his death.
“There are too many unanswered questions. This cannot be treated as a simple fall. A thorough investigation is necessary,” the father stated.
Police Register Case, Probe Intensifies
Based on the complaint filed by the family, police have registered a UDR (Unnatural Death Report) and have begun a detailed investigation. Authorities are currently awaiting the post-mortem report and forensic (FSL) analysis, which are expected to play a crucial role in determining the cause of death.
