Actor Gaurav Khanna says the promised Rs50 lakh cash prize, car and coupons from Bigg Boss Hindi Season 19 are still pending due to internal processes
Mumbai: Actor Gaurav Khanna, who won the popular reality show Bigg Boss Season 19, has revealed that he has not yet received the Rs. 50 lakh prize money, nearly three months after being declared the winner.
The grand finale of Bigg Boss 19 took place in December last year, where Bollywood superstar Salman Khan announced Gaurav Khanna as the winner of the season. Along with the trophy, the winner was promised ₹50 lakh in cash, a car, and several promotional coupons.
However, the actor recently shared that the cash reward has not yet reached him, though he remains confident that the payment will eventually be processed.

Speaking in his latest YouTube vlog while answering questions from fans, Gaurav Khanna candidly responded to a query about whether he had received the rewards promised by the reality show.
“To be honest, it takes time. I have not received the money yet, but I believe it will definitely come because there is always a process involved,” he explained.
The actor clarified that corporate accounting procedures and internal approvals within the production system can delay the transfer of prize money.
According to him, such processes in the television industry often take one to two months or sometimes longer before the winner receives the complete prize amount.
Prize Includes Cash, Car and Promotional Coupons
As per the show’s official announcement during the finale, the winner of Bigg Boss 19 was awarded the championship trophy along with ₹50 lakh in cash, a car and several brand-sponsored coupons.
While the symbolic awards were presented during the grand finale, the financial prize is reportedly processed separately through official channels.
Gaurav Khanna stated that delays are not unusual in the television industry, and he remains confident that the prize money will reach him soon.
“I belong to the television industry. Delays like this are quite common here. I’m sure the money will come,” he added.
Fame After Bigg Boss Victory
Despite the delay in prize money, Gaurav Khanna acknowledged that winning Bigg Boss 19 has significantly boosted his popularity.
The actor revealed that fans have been visiting his residence in Kanpur, where his family lives.
He shared that around 50 to 60 people visit his home daily just to meet him and congratulate him after the show’s success.
According to the actor, the recognition and love from viewers have been one of the biggest changes in his life since winning the reality show.
Gaurav Khanna also noted that although he had worked in several television projects before, the fame and admiration he received through Bigg Boss surpassed anything he had experienced earlier in his career.
