27-Year-Old HDFC Employee Dies in Rajajinagar Accident; Police Probe Underway

Bengaluru: A 27-year-old woman lost her life after being hit by a speeding motorcycle near HDFC Bank on Rajkumar Road in Rajajinagar on Monday afternoon. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.


The accident occurred around 12:30 pm near HDFC Bank on Rajkumar Road in Bengaluru.


The deceased has been identified as Yogeshwari, a resident of Kempegowda Layout near Laggere. She was working at HDFC Bank and had stepped out with a colleague to collect lunch. While returning, the two attempted to cross the busy stretch near the bank.

According to eyewitnesses, her colleague noticed an approaching motorcycle and paused. Yogeshwari, believing she could cross safely, moved ahead when a high-speed Bullet bike allegedly rammed into her. The force of the collision threw her onto the road, causing severe injuries.

She was rushed to Suguna Hospital for emergency treatment but succumbed to her injuries despite medical efforts. A post-mortem examination was later conducted at Victoria Hospital.

The rider, identified as Deepan (21), also fell during the crash and sustained injuries. He was admitted to a private hospital for treatment. The Rajajinagar Traffic Police visited the scene, conducted an inspection and registered a case.

Further investigation is underway as police gather evidence related to the accident.
