Ranchi: An air ambulance carrying seven people onboard from Ranchi to New Delhi crashed near Simaria in Chatra district on Monday evening, officials confirmed. The incident occurred shortly after the aircraft departed from Ranchi airport, raising serious concerns over aviation safety in medical evacuation flights.
Ranchi airport Director Vinod Kumar confirmed the crash, stating that the information was received from the state administration soon after the incident was reported.
Crash Occurred Minutes After Takeoff
According to airport authorities, the air ambulance took off from Ranchi airport at around 7.10 pm. Within a short time of departure, the aircraft reportedly went down near Simaria, a region under Chatra district in Jharkhand.
“An air ambulance from Ranchi with seven people onboard crashed near Simaria in Chatra district. The report of the crash was received from the state administration,” Ranchi Airport Director Vinod Kumar told.
Officials Confirm Onboard Count
Authorities confirmed that seven individuals were on board the air ambulance at the time of the crash. However, details regarding their identities, medical conditions, or casualties were not immediately disclosed. Emergency response teams and local administration rushed to the site soon after receiving information.
