Belagavi: A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus collided with a stationary tipper truck near Sankeshwar in Hukkeri taluk of Karnataka’s Belagavi district, killing the bus driver on the spot and leaving 12 passengers seriously injured.


The bus was travelling from Gangavathi to Kolhapur when it crashed into the tipper truck, which was reportedly standing on the road. The impact severely damaged the front portion of the bus, leaving it badly mangled.


12 Passengers Seriously Injured in Belagavi Bus Accident

The injured passengers were immediately shifted to hospitals in Sankeshwar and the Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) for treatment. Further details about their medical condition were not available in the information provided.

The bus driver, identified as Sangappa, died at the accident site.
