Bengaluru: The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report in the case involving the recovery of a mobile phone and pen drive from the jail cell of former MP Prajwal Revanna has reportedly revealed details about the digital contents of the devices.
According to police sources, 173 files were found on the mobile phone, while more than 100 videos were reportedly recovered from the pen drive. The police are examining the digital evidence as part of their ongoing investigation.
173 Files Found On Prajwal Revanna’s Mobile
According to the reported findings, the data extracted from the mobile phone contained 173 files.
The FSL examination reportedly identified different types of video content, including Kannada, Hindi and English movies and web series. Police sources have also reportedly stated that pornographic videos were found among the contents.
More than 100 videos were reportedly identified on the pen drive recovered in connection with the case. The contents of the device are being examined as part of the digital investigation.
Jail Warder Role Under Police Investigation
Police are also investigating how the mobile phone allegedly reached Prajwal Revanna’s jail cell.
According to the information available, Tausif, an accused in the DJ Halli riot case, is suspected of having handed the mobile phone to a jail warder.
Investigators are examining the alleged role of the warder and the circumstances under which the device was taken inside the prison. The Parappana Agrahara police are also investigating who supplied the phone and how it reached the cell.
Police Examine Calls And Video Calls
The investigation has also focused on calls allegedly made using the mobile phone while Prajwal Revanna was in jail.
Police sources reportedly said that he made video calls and WhatsApp calls to several people, including some women.
Investigators are examining the call records, mobile data and other digital information to establish whom Prajwal contacted and the circumstances surrounding those communications.
The police may question people who received calls if their statements or information are considered relevant to the investigation.
Pen Drive Contents Sent For Further Examination
The contents of the pen drive are also being examined as part of the investigation.
According to the available information, police have considered providing the reported pornographic video files from the pen drive to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for examination.
Investigators are collecting digital evidence from the mobile phone and pen drive and analysing the material identified in the FSL report.

The Parappana Agrahara police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the recovery of the mobile phone and pen drive.

People Contacted By Prajwal May Be Questioned
Police are reportedly collecting details of calls made by Prajwal Revanna while he was in jail.
According to the information available, he allegedly contacted his mother Gouramma, father H.D. Revanna and his lawyer regarding information connected to his cases. Police are also examining reports that he contacted some women through calls and video calls.
Investigators are expected to examine the complete call details before deciding whether notices should be issued to people who received the calls.
The police investigation is continuing based on the FSL report and other digital evidence recovered from the devices.
