Vanishree had travelled to her parental home in Wadgaon for childbirth. According to the family, Omkar was found missing from the house on Saturday night.
Family members and others began searching for the child in and around the village after noticing his absence. The search continued through the night, but the child could not be located.
On Sunday evening, the search led to the discovery of the infant’s body inside a well in the village.
Police were informed following the discovery and reached the location to begin an investigation into the child’s disappearance and death.
