Six people from Bidar district, including five women, died and six others were injured after a tanker collided with an auto-rickshaw in Telangana
Six residents of Rajgeera village in Karnataka's Bidar district were killed and six others seriously injured after a tanker collided with an auto-rickshaw near Satwar village in Zaheerabad mandal of Telangana's Sangareddy district. The accident occurred when the auto-rickshaw was reportedly taking a U-turn. Karnataka Minister Eshwar Khandre said the families of the deceased would receive Rs 5 lakh each as compensation from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
Sangareddy: Six people from Karnataka's Bidar district were killed, and six others sustained serious injuries after a tanker collided with an auto-rickshaw near Satwar village in Zaheerabad mandal of Sangareddy district, Telangana.
The accident occurred when the auto-rickshaw was reportedly taking a U-turn. According to police, 12 people were travelling in the auto-rickshaw at the time of the collision.
All the deceased and injured persons were residents of Rajgeera village in Bidar district, Karnataka. The collision resulted in the deaths of five women and the auto-rickshaw driver. The injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Six From Bidar Killed in Telangana Road Accident
Police identified the deceased as Rekha, Sridevi, Kavita, Reshma, Nikitha and auto-rickshaw driver Devadas.
The six injured persons were identified as Nirmala, Tulajamma, Chandrakala, Radhika, Shilpa and Shobha. They sustained serious injuries in the accident and were admitted to hospital.
The incident has left several families in Rajgeera village mourning, with the victims reportedly being daily-wage workers.

Injured Receive Treatment at BRIMS Hospital
The injured persons were shifted to BRIMS Hospital in Bidar for further treatment. According to information provided by Minister Eshwar Khandre, three injured persons are receiving treatment in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, while three others are being treated in another ward.
The minister visited the hospital and enquired about the condition of the injured. He also met family members and offered support following the accident.
Eshwar Khandre Announces Rs. 5 Lakh Compensation
Karnataka Minister Eshwar Khandre said the state government would provide Rs5 lakh to the family of each deceased person from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
After visiting the injured at BRIMS Hospital, Khandre described the deaths of six people from Rajgeera village as a matter of concern and assured the affected families that the government would extend support.
“The families of each of the deceased will receive Rs5 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund,” Minister Eshwar Khandre said.
The minister also assured the families of the injured that the government would support them during the treatment process.
Telangana Tanker Accident Under Investigation
The accident occurred near Satwar village in Zaheerabad mandal, where the tanker collided with the auto-rickshaw as it was reportedly taking a U-turn.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision, including the movement of the tanker and the auto-rickshaw immediately before the accident.
The identities of all six deceased and six injured persons have been established, while the injured continue to receive medical treatment.
