Boy Found Dead Inside Temporary Shelter
The deceased has been identified as Preetham (13), son of Srinivas and Gowramma, natives of Chitradurga district.
According to preliminary information, the family had recently arrived in Yediyur to work at a private residential layout under construction. They were staying in a temporary shed set up at the work site.
Preetham, a Class 7 student studying in Chitradurga, had travelled to Yediyur on Saturday to stay with his parents.
Family Reports Dispute Over Mobile Phone
According to family members, Preetham had repeatedly requested his parents to buy him a mobile phone.
His father reportedly declined the request. Following this, the boy is believed to have been distressed.
Police said he was later found hanging inside the temporary shed using a saree. Family members immediately alerted local authorities after discovering him.
Investigators are examining all circumstances surrounding the incident. The exact sequence of events will be established as part of the ongoing inquiry.
