Hyderabad: A week-long search for missing engineering student Rahul has ended in tragedy after his body was recovered from a well near Singarayakondapalli in Andhra Pradesh. Rahul, a third-year B.Tech student from Ailapur village in Korutla mandal of Jagtial district, had reportedly informed his family that he was going on a trip before leaving home. Investigators later traced his movement through CCTV footage, which helped establish his travel route across multiple locations. Police confirmed that he got down at Singarayakondapalli railway station before moving towards a nearby area where he was later found dead.
Authorities suspect that Rahul entered a well near the railway station, where his body was subsequently recovered. However, the exact circumstances leading to his death remain unclear, and officials have not ruled out multiple possibilities.
