According to police officials, the bus was en route from Delhi to Bihar when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn violently on the expressway. The impact left passengers trapped inside the damaged vehicle as panic spread across the accident site.
Rescue teams, local police personnel, and highway patrol officials rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information about the incident. Emergency workers used rescue equipment to pull injured passengers from the wreckage and transport them to nearby hospitals.
Officials stated that six passengers died in the accident, while several others remain in critical condition.

Sub Inspector and Prisoner Among Victims in Unnao Accident
Auras Station Officer Sanjeev Kushwaha confirmed that one of the deceased has been identified as Sub Inspector Ramchandra, who was reportedly travelling with a prisoner named Chhatrapal. Officials said the duo had travelled from Siwan to Delhi and were returning when the fatal accident occurred.
Police sources revealed that the condition of multiple injured passengers remains serious, and doctors at the Lucknow trauma centre are monitoring them closely.
The accident has once again highlighted concerns over highway safety, driver fatigue, and speeding on major expressways connecting northern Indian states.
