Pushpak Aerospace founder honoured for entrepreneurship and strengthening India-Czech international relations
Bengaluru: Pushpak Prakash, Founder and Managing Director of Pushpak Aerospace India Private Limited and Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic, has been conferred with the prestigious Aryabhata International Award 2026 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship and international relations.
The award ceremony was held at Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bengaluru, where retired Justice Rajendra Badamikar and former Additional Director General of Doordarshan, Nadoja Dr. Mahesh Joshi, presented the award to Pushpak Prakash.
Aryabhata International Award Recognises Global Entrepreneurship and Diplomacy
Pushpak Prakash received the Aryabhata International Award for his remarkable work in entrepreneurship, aerospace manufacturing, and international diplomatic relations. As the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic, he has played a crucial role in strengthening bilateral cooperation between India and the Czech Republic across industrial, trade, cultural, and strategic sectors.
His initiatives have helped foster deeper international partnerships and enhanced collaboration opportunities between Indian industries and global organizations.
“This recognition motivates us to continue serving the aerospace, defence, and space sectors with greater dedication, innovation, and quality,” said Pushpak Prakash after receiving the award.
Pushpak Aerospace Completes 35 Years of Contribution to ISRO and Defence Projects
The recognition comes at a significant milestone as Pushpak Aerospace India Private Limited celebrates its successful 35th anniversary in India’s aerospace and defence manufacturing industry.
Over the past several decades, the company has made substantial contributions to major projects undertaken by the Indian Space Research Organisation, popularly known as ISRO. Its involvement spans several prestigious Indian space missions, including the Chandrayaan programme, the Mars Orbiter Mission, the Aditya-L1 mission, the Cartosat programme, the GSAT programme, and the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System missions.
Pushpak Aerospace Role in PSLV, GSLV and Gaganyaan Missions
The Bengaluru-based aerospace company has also contributed significantly to India’s launch vehicle programs, including the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle programme, Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle programme, and LVM3 programme missions.
The company is currently contributing to India’s ambitious human spaceflight mission, Gaganyaan mission, which aims to send Indian astronauts into space.
Pushpak Aerospace has been honored multiple times by ISRO for its role in strengthening India’s indigenous space and defence ecosystem through advanced manufacturing and engineering support.

Speaking at the event, Pushpak Prakash emphasized Bengaluru’s growing global prominence in aerospace, technology, and innovation sectors. He stated that Bengaluru remains one of the world’s leading cities and reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the international prestige of Karnataka and India through innovation-driven industrial growth.
The Aryabhata International Award further adds to the recognition of Bengaluru’s growing contribution to the global aerospace and strategic manufacturing ecosystem.
