Food Safety officials reported poor hygiene conditions inside the kitchen area, where pests were allegedly found moving around food preparation zones. Officials also discovered leftover food items stored inside refrigerators, which were immediately discarded during the inspection.
Decayed vegetables were reportedly found in storage sections, while several near-expiry packed food articles allegedly carried torn or misleading labels, raising concerns over consumer safety and product traceability.
In the retail area, inspectors found insect infestation in food products including besan flour, atta and dals. Authorities also identified packed food items allegedly carrying expired FSSAI licences.
Officials further noted labelling and display violations, including missing nutritional information, absence of manufacturer addresses and lack of mandatory FSSAI licence details on packaged products.
