Bengaluru: Karnataka politics witnessed a dramatic development on Thursday after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reportedly indicated during a post-lunch meeting that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will be the next Chief Minister of the state, signalling the beginning of a major leadership transition within the Congress government.
The announcement, which comes amid days of intense speculation and internal political discussions, has effectively confirmed the anticipated transfer of power in Karnataka.
