CBI intensifies probe into Twisha Sharma death case as retired judge Giribala Singh faces possible arrest after anticipatory bail cancellation
Bhopal: The investigation into the suspicious death of Noida-based model and actress Twisha Sharma intensified on Thursday after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reached the residence of retired district judge Giribala Singh in Bhopal following the rejection of her anticipatory bail plea by the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
The high-profile Twisha Sharma death case, which has attracted nationwide attention, witnessed major developments after the court reportedly revoked Giribala Singh’s anticipatory bail during late-night proceedings on Wednesday. Soon after the order, a CBI team arrived at her bungalow located in the Baghmugaliya area of Bhopal and began detailed forensic and investigative procedures at the premises.
According to sources associated with the investigation, the agency carried out three-dimensional mapping of the entire bungalow, including the exact location where Twisha Sharma was allegedly found hanging under suspicious circumstances on May 12. The agency’s latest action comes after the arrest and custodial interrogation of Samarth Singh, son of Giribala Singh and husband of Twisha Sharma. Samarth Singh is currently under CBI custody and is being questioned regarding the circumstances leading to Twisha’s death.
The Baghmugaliya locality remained under intense media attention throughout Thursday, with several journalists and camera crews stationed outside the residence amid continuous speculation over further developments in the case.
In a brief moment captured by media personnel, Giribala Singh was seen stepping outside the bungalow in the morning and feeding stray dogs before returning indoors. The visuals quickly circulated across television and digital platforms as public curiosity surrounding the case continued to grow.
“The MP High Court has taken several serious aspects into consideration in this case, including pre-mortem injuries found on Twisha Sharma’s body and allegations of mental harassment,” said Madhya Pradesh Advocate General Prashant Singh.

“Considering the seriousness of the allegations, lack of cooperation, and evidence collected so far, the High Court rejected the anticipatory bail plea,” Advocate General Prashant Singh stated.
