CBI intensifies probe into Twisha Sharma death case as retired judge Giribala Singh faces possible arrest after anticipatory bail cancellation

Bhopal: The investigation into the suspicious death of Noida-based model and actress Twisha Sharma intensified on Thursday after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reached the residence of retired district judge Giribala Singh in Bhopal following the rejection of her anticipatory bail plea by the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

The high-profile Twisha Sharma death case, which has attracted nationwide attention, witnessed major developments after the court reportedly revoked Giribala Singh’s anticipatory bail during late-night proceedings on Wednesday. Soon after the order, a CBI team arrived at her bungalow located in the Baghmugaliya area of Bhopal and began detailed forensic and investigative procedures at the premises.

According to sources associated with the investigation, the agency carried out three-dimensional mapping of the entire bungalow, including the exact location where Twisha Sharma was allegedly found hanging under suspicious circumstances on May 12. The mapping exercise is believed to be part of the agency’s effort to reconstruct the sequence of events linked to the case.

The development has significantly escalated speculation surrounding the possible arrest of Giribala Singh, although officials have not yet issued any formal confirmation regarding imminent custodial action.

Investigators remained stationed at the residence for several hours as forensic experts documented various sections of the property. Sources indicated that the CBI is closely examining physical evidence, digital communication records, and witness statements collected during the course of the probe.

The agency’s latest action comes after the arrest and custodial interrogation of Samarth Singh, son of Giribala Singh and husband of Twisha Sharma. Samarth Singh is currently under CBI custody and is being questioned regarding the circumstances leading to Twisha’s death.

The Baghmugaliya locality remained under intense media attention throughout Thursday, with several journalists and camera crews stationed outside the residence amid continuous speculation over further developments in the case.

In a brief moment captured by media personnel, Giribala Singh was seen stepping outside the bungalow in the morning and feeding stray dogs before returning indoors. The visuals quickly circulated across television and digital platforms as public curiosity surrounding the case continued to grow.

“The MP High Court has taken several serious aspects into consideration in this case, including pre-mortem injuries found on Twisha Sharma’s body and allegations of mental harassment,” said Madhya Pradesh Advocate General Prashant Singh.

Twisha Sharma Death Case Sparks Dowry Harassment Allegations

Twisha Sharma died under suspicious circumstances in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal on the night of May 12. Since the incident surfaced, her family members have accused her husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh of dowry harassment and murder.

The allegations have triggered widespread debate on social media and television platforms, turning the case into one of the most discussed criminal investigations in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, the accused family has maintained that Twisha Sharma died by suicide and has denied all allegations related to murder or dowry harassment.

Investigative agencies are now examining multiple pieces of evidence, including WhatsApp conversations, medical findings, and forensic reports, to establish the sequence of events leading to the actress’s death.

High Court Rejects Giribala Singh Anticipatory Bail

Legal scrutiny intensified after the Madhya Pradesh High Court reportedly expressed concern over several elements connected to the investigation. According to Advocate General Prashant Singh, the court considered allegations of non-cooperation by Giribala Singh despite repeated notices issued during the inquiry.

The court also reportedly examined pre-mortem injury observations and digital communication records that allegedly pointed toward sustained mental harassment faced by Twisha Sharma.

“Considering the seriousness of the allegations, lack of cooperation, and evidence collected so far, the High Court rejected the anticipatory bail plea,” Advocate General Prashant Singh stated.

The cancellation of anticipatory bail has now paved the way for possible custodial interrogation of Giribala Singh as the CBI continues to expand its investigation into the case.

All Eyes On CBI’s Next Action In Bhopal Investigation

With Samarth Singh already under interrogation and forensic teams continuing their examination of the crime scene, attention is now focused on the CBI’s next course of action in the Twisha Sharma case.

Investigators are expected to further analyze forensic evidence and communication records as they attempt to determine whether the death was a case of suicide or involved criminal conspiracy and harassment allegations raised by the victim’s family.

The case continues to remain under close public and media scrutiny, with developments from Bhopal expected to shape the direction of the ongoing investigation in the coming days.
