Mumbai: A controversy involving Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli has gone viral on social media after a six-year-old child was allegedly denied an autograph despite waiting for nearly three hours, sparking widespread reactions and debate online.
According to a post shared by a user identified as Rohit (@Iam_Rohit_G) on X, the young fan had been eagerly waiting to meet Kohli and get his autograph. However, when the cricketer arrived at the location, security personnel reportedly did not allow the child to approach him.

The post further claims that the child tried to follow Kohli just to get a glimpse but was asked to move away by security staff. The situation reportedly left the boy emotionally distressed. “Pathetic behaviour from parents… It’s not the child’s or Virat’s fault. Parents are to be blamed,” he wrote.
Another user, Tushar S (@_0xShunya), echoed a similar sentiment, suggesting that the situation could serve as a learning experience for the child.
“The kid must have never heard a ‘No’. Finally, he got the lesson he should have learnt before,” the comment read.
Meanwhile, a user identified as Big Mouth (@BadkaBakait) expressed sympathy for the child but framed the incident as a moment of realisation.
