Washington: Despite the recent ceasefire announcement between the United States and Iran, fresh war clouds are gathering as US President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Tehran, signalling a potential escalation if peace terms are violated.
In a strongly worded statement on his ‘Truth Social’ platform, Trump made it clear that the United States will maintain a powerful military presence around Iran until a permanent and credible agreement is reached.
“Our military will remain fully deployed around Iran with advanced weapons and ammunition. If the deal is broken, the response will be stronger than ever before,” Trump warned.
He further cautioned that any violation of the agreement by Iran or disregard for Washington’s conditions would trigger a massive and unprecedented military strike.
