Bengaluru: The dramatic survival story of a young woman from Kerala, who spent four days lost in the dense forests of Tadiyandamol, has now taken a controversial turn with allegations of a publicity stunt and even suspected Naxal links, prompting a deeper police investigation.
The woman, identified as Sharanya, had gone missing during a trek in Kodagu and was later found safe after surviving in the wilderness. While initially hailed as a miraculous survival story, the incident has now sparked intense debate and suspicion.

Responding to mounting allegations, Sharanya strongly denied claims that the incident was staged.
“I have not done any drama. I fought to save my life by drinking water from streams,” she clarified.
She explained that during the four days in the forest, her will to survive overpowered hunger, and she relied solely on water from natural sources.
