Kolar: In a major law-and-order crackdown that sent shockwaves across the district, police launched a sudden raid on the houses of rowdy sheeters in KGF and Bangarapet town limits of Karnataka’s Kolar district. The high-alert operation was carried out under the leadership of KGF Superintendent of Police Shivanshu Rajput, targeting known offenders and suspected criminal hideouts.
The coordinated search operation focused on several sensitive areas under the Andersonpet Police Station limits in KGF town, including Susepalya, Sorekai Pete, and surrounding localities. Police sources confirmed that homes linked to 10 identified rowdy sheeters were thoroughly inspected during the surprise action.
Massive Police Team Deployed for Operation
To ensure swift execution and avoid any escape attempts, authorities formed a strong special team comprising five Sub-Inspectors and five Inspectors. Each police team was assigned one rowdy sheeter, allowing simultaneous raids at multiple locations.
Officials said the strategy helped police carry out the operation efficiently and without advance leaks.
Deadly Weapons Recovered
During the searches, police recovered several dangerous weapons from the homes of two rowdy sheeters. Among the seized items were longs, machetes, and other sharp-edged, deadly weapons, raising serious concerns over possible criminal activity.
The weapons were immediately confiscated and taken into police custody for further investigation.
