Hosapete: In a tragic road accident that has raised serious concerns over road safety and accountability, two forest department watchers lost their lives after a Bolero goods vehicle rammed into their bike from behind near Venkatapura village in Hosapete taluk of Vijayanagar district.

The deceased have been identified as Krishna (26), a resident of Kamalapur, and Hanumanthappa (50) from Venkatapura. Both were working as Night Forest Watchers on an outsourcing basis and were on duty when the fatal incident occurred.

High-Speed Collision Claims Two Lives

According to preliminary reports, the two staff members were travelling on a motorcycle during their night shift when a speeding Bolero goods vehicle crashed into them from behind, leading to their instant death on the spot.

The impact of the collision was so severe that both victims succumbed to their injuries immediately, leaving no chance for rescue.
