Police investigation into gym trainer Nandan’s death has brought out details involving alleged drug and alcohol use, a sexual assault, and a fatal assault at a party
The Amruthahalli police investigation into gym trainer Nandan’s murder in Bengaluru has revealed alleged drug and alcohol consumption and a sexual assault during a gym anniversary party at a flat in Kempapura.
Bengaluru: The investigation into the murder of gym trainer Nandan, which took place under the jurisdiction of Amruthahalli police station in the capital, has intensified, with shocking details emerging. The police’s preliminary investigation has revealed that homosexuality, excessive drug consumption and a fatal assault allegedly took place during a gym anniversary party.
Nandan worked as a personal gym trainer for Anush Shetty. On the occasion of the gym anniversary, Anush Shetty had organised a party at his flat in Kempapura and invited four trainers from the gym, including Nandan.
It is said that those present at the party had consumed large quantities of drugs and alcohol. When the police inspected the scene, they found paraphernalia related to drug use, and it was preliminarily confirmed that those present were intoxicated.
Bite Marks Found On Nandan’s Body
According to police sources, a man named Vishwanath allegedly started kissing Nandan while he was drunk late at night. Later, those present at the party allegedly tried to sexually assault Nandan. During this, a heated argument reportedly broke out between Vishwanath and Nandan.
The discovery of deep bite marks on several parts of Nandan’s body has raised questions about what happened during the incident. Police suspect that a severe conflict took place during the alleged sexual assault. The fight is suspected to have turned violent, with Nandan allegedly being struck hard on the head.
Anush Shetty’s Statement Under Police Scrutiny
After the incident, Anush Shetty gave a statement to the police. He said, “I had invited him to the party at night, but I don’t know what happened at night. I was sleeping in a different room. When I woke up in the morning, Nandan was bleeding from the head. I immediately admitted him to the hospital.”
The police are reportedly questioning Anush Shetty’s claim that he did not know what happened, despite having organised the party at his flat. The Amruthahalli police are currently awaiting the final post-mortem report and are questioning Anush Shetty, Vishwanath and others who were present at the party.
