Heartbreaking incident in Aravalli village as man dies in accident rushing after hearing wife’s death; grief grips entire village
Belagavi: In a deeply heartbreaking incident from Karnataka’s Belagavi district, a family was shattered within hours as both husband and wife lost their lives in separate tragedies, leaving behind three young children orphaned. The incident occurred in Aravalli village of Bailhongal taluk and has plunged the entire community into grief.
The deceased woman, identified as Madhura Kareppa Madar (30), had reportedly been suffering from severe stomach pain for several years. Despite undergoing multiple treatments, her condition did not improve.
On Sunday, when the pain became unbearable, she allegedly consumed pesticide in distress. Family members rushed her towards Belagavi district hospital, but she passed away on the way, leaving the family devastated.
Husband Dies in Shock Accident
Her husband, Kareppa Madar (36), upon learning about his wife’s death, was left in deep shock and panic. In a desperate attempt to reach the hospital quickly, he rushed out.
However, tragedy struck again. While crossing the road or hurrying in distress, he was run over by a bus, leading to his instant death at the spot.
“Within a single day, the family lost both parents, leaving the children alone,” locals said, expressing grief.
Village Plunged Into Mourning
The couple, who had been married for nine years, shared a loving bond. They leave behind one daughter and two young sons, whose future now remains uncertain.
In a tragic twist, just a day earlier, the family had gone to the weekly market together, purchasing groceries and new clothes for their children. The same children, who were meant to celebrate, are now mourning in front of their parents’ lifeless bodies an image that has left villagers in tears.
Police Investigation Underway
A case has been registered at the Bailhongal Police Station, and officials have visited the spot to conduct an investigation. The entire Aravalli village remains engulfed in sorrow, with residents expressing concern over the future of the orphaned children.
