45-Year-Old Man Dies After Alleged Treatment Lapses and Denial of Care, Family Alleges Inhuman Negligence by Hospital Staff
Bengaluru: In a deeply disturbing incident that has sparked outrage, a 45-year-old delivery worker allegedly died due to medical negligence at Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru, raising serious concerns over patient care and accountability in government hospitals.
The deceased, identified as Shah Nawaz, had been undergoing treatment for a tumour in his groin. His family has alleged that a lack of coordination between hospital departments, denial of timely care, and gross negligence led to his tragic death.
Shah Nawaz, who worked as a delivery boy in a private company, was admitted to the hospital’s emergency ward nearly one and a half months ago after developing a tumour in his groin. Doctors initially diagnosed it as an infection and proceeded with a surgical procedure.
Following the operation, he was reportedly referred to the plastic surgery department for further treatment. However, his family alleges that the department refused immediate intervention, citing that the wound had not healed.
Family members claim that the wound was left untreated and not properly stitched, leading to continuous bleeding and severe pain.
“They did not treat him properly or admit him again. He was suffering in pain, but no one came forward to help,” a family member alleged.
Despite his worsening condition and continuous bleeding, the family claims that hospital authorities failed to provide assistance. Unable to bear the pain and lack of medical care, Shah Nawaz eventually succumbed.
The allegations have triggered widespread anger, with many calling for a thorough inquiry and strict action against those responsible.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the allegations.
