An 18-year-old woman from Peresandra village in Chikkaballapur died after allegedly consuming poison following emotional distress linked to a domestic disagreement, police said
Chikkaballapur: A tragic incident has been reported from Peresandra village in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur district, where an 18-year-old woman identified as Shruthi died after allegedly consuming poison following a family disagreement at home.
According to local reports, the young woman was upset after a conversation related to household work and learning to cook. Family members rushed her to the hospital after the incident, but she could not be saved despite treatment.
Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Initial information suggests Shruthi was at home when a family discussion took place regarding helping with household responsibilities and learning to cook.
Authorities said the matter appears to have deeply affected her emotionally. Soon after, she allegedly consumed a poisonous substance kept in the house.
She was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors later declared her dead.
Police Investigation Underway
The case has been registered at Peresandra Police Station. Officers are recording statements from family members and examining all angles.
