Former CM expresses confidence of massive BJP win in Davanagere and Bagalkot, calls on voters to ‘teach Congress a lesson’
Davanagere: Former Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the ruling Congress, urging voters to ensure BJP’s victory in both Assembly constituencies heading for by-elections in the state.
“The people of the state are tired of Congress rule. They are ready to teach them a lesson by voting for BJP in both constituencies,” he said.
He expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure a decisive and large-margin victory in both Davanagere and Bagalkot Assembly segments.
He alleged that the Congress has failed to uphold trust among communities, and claimed that voters are now reconsidering their political choices.
He further took a dig at the Congress leadership, stating that their statements reflect nervousness in the face of an impending defeat.
