The deceased, identified as Shruti, a homemaker from Pavagada, had died in Yelahanka. Her father, Rajunayak, deeply affected by her death, decided to conduct her last rites unusually.

Burial Inside House Creates Shock
The body was brought to her husband, Pavan Kalyan, at the under-construction house in Bhoopur Tanda. Insisting on creating a memorial, the father allegedly dug up the flooring in the central hall and conducted the burial inside the house.
Upon receiving information, Tirumani Police Station officials rushed to the spot. They explained that conducting a burial inside a residential property is illegal and persuaded the father after prolonged discussions.
Following police intervention, the father agreed to exhume the body. The final rites were then conducted as per the rituals in the land belonging to the son-in-law.

Sources suggest that the father’s extreme grief and alleged anger towards the son-in-law led to the unusual act, creating tension in the locality for some time.
