Lency Mary alias Surya declared brought dead at Manipal hospital; Malpe Police register case, probe underway
Malpe: In a tragic incident reported from coastal Karnataka, a 36-year-old woman from Bengaluru died after allegedly suffering a heart attack while staying at a resort in Padukere near Malpe.
The deceased has been identified as Lency Mary alias Surya, wife of L. Jackson, a resident of Bengaluru. According to preliminary information, she had travelled to Malpe on February 26 along with a group of nine others for a leisure trip and was staying at a private resort in Padukere.
Collapsed After Beach Visit, Did Not Wake Up
Sources said the group visited Malpe Beach on February 27 and returned to the resort later that night. On the morning of February 28, Lency Mary reportedly did not wake up around 8.30 am, prompting concern among her companions. She was immediately rushed to a hospital in Manipal for medical attention.
However, doctors at the hospital declared her dead upon examination. While the exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed, preliminary suspicion points to a possible heart attack. Authorities have not ruled out other medical conditions or underlying health issues.
Police Register Case, Investigation Continues
A case has been registered at the Malpe Police Station, and officials have initiated further investigation to ascertain the precise cause of death. The body is expected to undergo a post-mortem examination to determine medical findings.
Police sources stated that statements from accompanying members are being recorded as part of the routine inquiry. No foul play has been suspected at this stage.
