Sahil Singhal Killed in Broad Daylight at Sector 75; Police Detain Two as Marital and Relationship Tensions Erupt into Fatal Gunfire
Noida: A festive Holi celebration turned into a scene of shock and bloodshed at IV County Society in Noida after a young man was allegedly shot dead inside the residential complex in Sector 75. The deceased has been identified as Sahil Singhal, a resident of the same society.
According to preliminary police investigation, the incident appears to have stemmed from a prolonged personal dispute linked to Sahil’s marital status and a four-year relationship with another woman. Two individuals have been detained for questioning, and further investigation is underway.
Dispute Escalates During Holi Meeting
Police sources revealed that Sahil Singhal was married but had reportedly been in a relationship with another woman for the past four years. The relationship had allegedly caused resentment within the woman’s family for some time.
On Holi, the woman reportedly arrived at the society along with her two brothers to meet Sahil. It is being reported that Sahil himself facilitated their entry into the gated complex. During the meeting, a heated argument broke out between the parties, quickly escalating into a serious confrontation.
Witnesses stated that the atmosphere turned tense within minutes as verbal exchanges intensified.
Brother Allegedly Fires Pistol During Argument
Eyewitness accounts suggest that amid the altercation, one of the woman’s brothers allegedly pulled out a pistol and fired at Sahil Singhal in a fit of rage. The bullet reportedly struck Sahil, causing him to collapse on the spot with critical injuries.
The sound of the gunshot triggered panic across the residential complex. Residents rushed toward the location while others alerted the police.
A police team from Sector-113 police station reached the scene promptly and brought the situation under control.
Declared Dead at Hospital
Sahil Singhal was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by family members and residents. However, doctors declared him dead upon examination.
According to medical officials, the gunshot injury had left him in an extremely critical condition, and he had likely succumbed before reaching the hospital.
The incident left Sahil’s family devastated and created an atmosphere of fear among residents of IV County Society.
Police Detain Two, CCTV Footage Under Scanner
Senior police officials confirmed that two individuals have been detained and are currently being questioned in connection with the case. Authorities stated that a formal case will be registered based on the complaint filed by the victim’s family.
Police are also examining CCTV footage from the society premises and surrounding areas to reconstruct the sequence of events and determine the role of other individuals who may have been involved.
Investigators are probing whether the shooting was premeditated or the result of a sudden provocation during the dispute.
