KSRTC clarifies all recruitments are conducted online through a merit-based system, urges job seekers not to pay money to middlemen

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has issued a public warning after reports emerged of fraudsters cheating job seekers by falsely promising employment in the corporation.

In an official press release from its headquarters in Bengaluru, the corporation stated that a police case has been registered regarding individuals impersonating senior officials of KSRTC and luring unemployed youth with fake job offers.

According to the statement, the accused allegedly used forged KSRTC letterheads and claimed influence within the organisation to convince candidates that they could secure jobs in exchange for money.

Recruitments Conducted Only Through the Online System

KSRTC clarified that all direct recruitments in the corporation are carried out strictly through an online application process.

Officials stated that the recruitment procedure is conducted through a computerised system based on merit and reservation norms, ensuring transparency and eliminating any scope for human intervention.

The corporation remarked that no direct applications, personal recommendations, or unofficial recruitment channels exist within the organisation.

Public Warned Against Job Fraud

The transport corporation urged job aspirants to remain cautious and avoid falling victim to individuals demanding money in exchange for employment promises.

“Recruitment in the corporation is conducted only through public advertisements and online applications. There is no system of direct recruitment through recommendation,” the KSRTC statement clarified.

Authorities have advised victims and the public to immediately lodge complaints with the nearest police station if anyone demands money claiming to secure KSRTC jobs.

Official Recruitment Information Online

KSRTC further stated that all official notifications and updates related to recruitment will be published only on the official portal.

Candidates seeking employment opportunities in the corporation have been advised to rely solely on verified information available on the official recruitment website.

The press release was issued by Akram Pasha Bhaase, Managing Director of KSRTC, urging the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to job recruitment scams.
