Massive Anti-Narcotics Raid Uncovers LSD, Charas, and Hydro Ganja from Prestigious Residential Flat, Two Kerala Men Arrested
Bengaluru: Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have carried out a major anti-narcotics operation, seizing drugs worth Rs. 10 crore from a luxury residential apartment in Bengaluru, sending shockwaves across the city.
According to official sources, the huge drug consignment was recovered from a flat located at Prestige Find Verry Park in the Bagaluru area. The raid was conducted by the CCB Narcotics Wing following specific intelligence inputs about an active drug distribution network operating from the premises.
Two Accused Arrested, Inter-State Drug Racket Suspected
The CCB has arrested two individuals from Kerala, identified as Ashwin (27) and Mobin (25). Investigators revealed that the accused had allegedly turned drug peddling into a full-time profession, supplying narcotics to select urban clientele using discreet delivery methods.
First-Ever Massive LSD Seizure in Karnataka
In a historic crackdown, police seized 8,335 LSD blotter strips, marking the largest LSD recovery ever in Karnataka. Each LSD strip is estimated to be valued at Rs. 6,000, pushing the total LSD seizure alone into crores.
Officials disclosed that the LSD was marketed in artistic and deceptive forms, including prints resembling deities and artwork, allegedly to evade suspicion during transport and sale.
Additional Narcotics Confiscated
Alongside LSD, the CCB recovered a significant quantity of other banned substances, including 534 grams of charas and 5 kilograms of hydro ganja, further highlighting the scale of the illegal operation.
“This seizure highlights a disturbing trend of high-end drug trafficking operating out of gated communities. We are intensifying surveillance across Bengaluru,” a senior CCB officer said, requesting anonymity.
Probe On Into Flat Owner’s Role
The CCB has confirmed that an investigation is underway to ascertain the role of the flat owner, including whether the property was knowingly used for narcotics storage and distribution. Further arrests have not been ruled out.
Authorities stated that this operation is part of a broader crackdown on urban drug networks, with special focus on premium residential zones increasingly being misused for illegal activities.
