Gopal from Anekal was allegedly abducted by miscreants and hacked to death near Denkanikote; family protests demanding swift justice
The victim, identified as Gopal, was reportedly abducted from Anekal before being taken across the state border and brutally murdered.
Kidnapped After Car Was Intercepted
According to preliminary reports, unidentified assailants intercepted the car in which Gopal and his associate were travelling near Karpur Gate in Anekal on Sunday evening.
The attackers allegedly forced them out of the vehicle and kidnapped Gopal before fleeing the scene.
Body Found in Tamil Nadu
Police later discovered Gopal’s body near Denkanikote, where he was reportedly hacked to death using sharp weapons.
The case has taken a serious turn after allegations surfaced that the murder may have been executed as part of a “supari” (contract killing) worth Rs. 25 lakh.
Supari Angle Under Investigation
Sources said a person identified as Mohan Babu allegedly paid the contract amount to carry out the murder.
Acting on suspicion raised by the victim’s family, police from Jigani Police detained Mohan Babu along with two others, Harish and Kiran, for questioning.
Massive Search Operation
Before the body was discovered, authorities had launched a large-scale search operation led by Mohan Kumar.
A total of seven special teams comprising nine inspectors were deployed to trace the kidnapped real estate agent.
Family Protests Demand Justice
Following the discovery of the body, Gopal’s family members and relatives staged a protest outside the Anekal Police Station, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused and strict action against those involved in the crime.
Police have intensified the investigation and are working to identify and apprehend all suspects connected to the murder.
