Bengaluru: In a shocking act of workplace violence, a company manager was brutally stabbed to death by a sacked employee in Bengaluru, sending shockwaves across the city.
The victim, identified as Rahul (38), was working as a manager at a private firm in Tigalarapalya when he was attacked.
Brutal Attack Over Job Loss
According to police, the accused Hanumanthappa, a native of Yadgir, had been recently terminated from his job at Power Plastic Private Limited.
Enraged by the dismissal, he allegedly entered the workplace on March 30 and stabbed Rahul nearly 10 times with a knife, causing severe injuries.
“The attack was extremely violent and appears to be driven by anger over job loss,” police sources said.
Victim Succumbs During Treatment
Following the attack, Rahul was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. However, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to excessive blood loss.
His body was later shifted to Victoria Hospital for a postmortem before being handed over to his family.
Rahul is reported to be a native of Uttar Pradesh.
Accused Arrested by Police
Police from Rajagopal Nagar Police Station have arrested the accused Hanumanthappa.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events and motive in detail.
Workplace Safety Concerns Raised
The incident has raised serious concerns over employee grievances, workplace security, and mental health, highlighting how unresolved anger can escalate into extreme violence.
Authorities have assured strict legal action against the accused.
