Minor's complaint triggers police action in Pohri area; accused labourer booked for rape and child sexual abuse, investigation underway
Shivpuri: A deeply disturbing case of alleged child sexual abuse has surfaced from Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, where a father has been accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting his 13-year-old daughter. Officials confirmed that a formal case has been registered following a complaint filed by the minor.
Where the Incident Occurred
According to police sources, the incidents took place under the jurisdiction of the Pohri police station area in Shivpuri district. The accused allegedly committed the acts at his native village whenever he returned home.
Investigators stated that the accused, who works as a labourer in Jaipur, allegedly assaulted his daughter on multiple occasions. Police officials revealed that the minor informed authorities she had been sexually assaulted four times in the past.
Latest Incident and Family Intervention
The most recent incident reportedly occurred around 9 pm, when the girl was sleeping alongside her grandmother. Police said the accused allegedly tried to forcibly take the child into another room.
When the grandmother objected, she was allegedly pushed to the ground. Other family members rushed to the spot after being alerted, but by the time they arrived, the assault had already taken place.
"Based on the complaint of the minor, we have registered an FIR under relevant sections of rape and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. A detailed investigation is ongoing," a police official said.
Following the incident, the family immediately took the minor to the Pohri Police Station during the night. Police registered the case without delay and initiated procedural steps, including recording statements and collecting medical and forensic evidence.
Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is currently underway to verify all allegations, record witness testimonies, and take further legal action against the accused. Police have assured strict action in accordance with the law.
