Petition Seeks Criminal Case Against Inspector Girish Nayak as CCH 64 Court Directs Spot Verification in High-Profile Investigation

Bengaluru: A fresh controversy has emerged in the investigation into the Renukaswamy murder case in Chitradurga, with a Bengaluru court ordering an inspection of the Kamakshipalya police station following serious allegations of misinformation submitted during the probe. The development comes after a petition sought criminal proceedings against the investigating officer, Inspector Girish Nayak.

Court Orders Spot Inspection Amid Allegations of False Seizure Report

The petition filed before the CCH 64 court alleged that incorrect information was presented in connection with the preparation of the seizure report related to the accused persons’ mobile phones. During cross-examination, it was argued that the police had misrepresented the location where the accused were detained and photographed while preparing the official seizure record.

According to documents earlier submitted before the court, the accused were reportedly kept in a tiled cabin at the Kamakshipalya police station, where photographs were taken and the seizure report was prepared. However, it was later brought to the court’s notice that the police station does not have tiled flooring in the described area, raising doubts about the accuracy of the official documentation.

Senior Advocate Highlights Discrepancies Before CCH 64 Court

Senior advocate Sudhanva, representing the petitioner, placed documentary evidence before the CCH 64 court, pointing out the alleged inconsistencies in the investigation records. After hearing the arguments, the court passed an important order directing that the Kamakshipalya police station be inspected in the presence of the petitioner’s counsel and that a detailed report be submitted.

“If the seizure report was prepared at a place other than what was officially recorded, necessary legal action must follow,” the petition stated.

The plea further sought registration of a criminal case against Inspector Girish Nayak if it is established that the seizure proceedings were conducted at a location different from what was mentioned in the official records.

New Twist in High-Profile Renukaswamy Murder Investigation

The Renukaswamy murder case has attracted widespread attention, particularly after several individuals, including actor Darshan, were questioned during the course of the investigation. The latest court directive shifts scrutiny toward the procedural integrity of the probe itself.

The court has now directed that the petition be examined and a report submitted after completion of the inspection process. Legal observers note that the findings could have significant implications on the credibility of the investigation and future court proceedings.

News Flash Daily will continue to track developments in this high-profile case as further updates emerge from the court.
